Tesco to Create 80 New Jobs in Wisbech

Tesco Wisbech Extra is due to open at the new location this week providing 80 new jobs for the local community.  The 250 existing staff and managers will be transferred to the new store and train a additional staff bringing the total employed at the store up to 330.

The store will retain the usual facilities including pharmacy, in-store cafe, petrol station with car wash, clothing, bakers and deli, plus a new opticians and bureau de change and the Click and Collect facility.

Kevin Chestnutt, store manager states, “It is a pleasure to have so many loyal and experienced members of staff in the team. As a store we are delighted to have the opportunity to create additional jobs for our local community. We have recruited brilliant people who are about to begin a long and successful career. My new team and I are looking forward to offering shoppers a clean, bright and spacious store with fast and friendly service.”
