Tesco to Create 15 New Jobs in Tingley
« on: May 31, 2014, 08:08:11 AM »
Tesco are opening a new Tesco Express Store in Tingley and have been very successful in recruiting a team of staff after receiving 200 job applications for 15 newly created positions due to the new store opening.  The advert recruiting for the new 15 store personnel has been very successful and very pleasing that there was such a big interest in working for Tesco.

The Store Manager, Ahmed Vachhiyat was pleased that they have successfully recruited the 15 strong team and that the vacancies have been filled by local people. This is a very positive position for the new Tesco Express to be in and to have local people working there.
The Store Manager who has worked with Tesco since 2008 said he was overwhelmed by the responses and was pleased that so many of the local people wanted to work with the new store. It has given the community a massive boost and has helped 15 of them back into employment.  He expressed how pleased he was with his new team and is confident that the store will be a success and that they will provide the best possible customer service that they can within their area and how delighted he was to have made a difference to the local community.

The Tesco express store will have a real community feel to it and even more so now that local people are going to be helping to run the store.

The new Tesco Express store is to be on Westerton Road, Tingley and they are waiting to announce an opening date. The new store will be open seven days a week from 6am – 11pm and for extra convenience for their customers they will also have a cash machine, self service tills, Click and Collect, mobile top up facility, National Lottery counter, bakery, beers and wines and spirits.  There will also be parking available to the front of the new store.
