Tesco Interview 2013

So you have secured an interview from Tesco for a job that you love to get in 2013.

Tesco Interview Questions

1- Learn more about Tesco, how they work, what they care about most etc.

- Why Tesco?

- Why do you want to work for Tesco?

- What can you bring to the company?

2- Remember team work and examples of how you have dealt with a problem style questions will be a lot. So be prepared and have good answers ready in your head on the day of your interview. They will definetely expect you to give scenarios and experience as examples.

- When have you worked effectively as part of a team and how?
- When you have dealt with a difficult person and how?

Here is what Tesco says about the interviews:

Friendly people and lots of questions. We'll want to know all about your background and whether your skills match our core competency framework and the role for which you're applying. Of course, interviews work two ways, so you'll be encouraged to ask questions about Tesco in return.

Here are example questions:

What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you handle them?

Why should we hire you?

Describe a difficult work situation / project and how you overcame it

Good thread, always be prepared for the questions, especially the scenario type ones - these are not to catch you out, just to make sure you would match what they are looking for

If you're being interviewed for a position to work on checkouts etc., your teamworking skills and customer service skills are probably the most important things they'll focus on. Obviously, management interviews will be more lengthy and more focused on things like your team leading skills and experiences. It does depend on what position you're applying for.
