Tesco is Opening a New Store in Immingham

Construction work has already been started to build a new Tesco store in Immingham which will create 200 jobs for jobseekers. The whole project will cost £10 million and there will be other stores as well as a Tesco.

When will Tesco store open in Immingham?

The company says that the store will open just before the Christmas. The new store will include a car park with 350 spaces.

The Mayor of Immingham, Councillor Brian Duke said:

"It is going to mean lots of jobs and hopefully it will attract other stores to the area."

Ward councillor Dave Bolton said:

"There are going to be scores of new jobs. That is good for employment in the area."

Tesco spokesman Mark Thomas said:

"We're really pleased to be bringing hundreds of jobs to Immingham with our new store.

Recruitment drive will start for this store very soon. Tesco will work with local jobcentre and recruitment agencies. The supermarket will also list the jobs on their career site online.
