Travel and Tourism Personal Statement Example
« on: March 15, 2014, 08:57:24 PM »

If you have done a degree in Travel and Tourism you will no doubt have a keen interest in travelling in your country of origin as well as abroad. A degree in this area opens up a multitude of roles from working in hotels, to working in a different country, the tourist board, advising people about holidays and travel, looking into places of interest and places to go in certain countries or locations.

An employer will be looking to find out what area of specialism you are looking to go into. What made you decide to do a degree in travel and tourism and what do you enjoy learning about different countries and places?

You will need to be flexible in this role as you could be travelling to different places at all times and will need to be free of any restrictions and keen to do more travelling to find out the relevant information.

If you have found a role in which you want to apply for, please see the below personal statement which you can use as a guide for your CV.

Travel and tourism personal statement

I am a keen traveller who wanted to pursue travel as part of my career so was very pleased to graduate in Travel and Tourism and be able to use my passion and what I have learnt in a good way to help others.

I have always enjoyed travelling to different places and exploring along the way. I like to discover new restaurants, hotels, places of interest, beaches etc for others and give them an idea of what they are like and how much I would recommend them.
I have excellent researching skills and I am self motivated. I am eager to visit new places and will work hard in my career choice to provide help to people when booking their holidays and travelling to new destinations.

Good luck.
