Anyway, I'm currently nearing the 2 year mark on my current Pill, which is Dianette (am I allowed to post the name?)? I started taking it to clear some ance, and it has the added benefit of being a contraceptive! According to my doctor, it becomes less effective after 2 years, and as I'm not very good at taking it at the same time everyday, I was looking at other types of contraception. Also, I've been looking online at netdoctor and a few other sites, and they've been saying it shouldn't be taken solely as a contraceptive...

I've been thinking about the jab, but I've heard some horror stories about women having three month periods on it. Does anyone have any experience of it? Both positive and negative would be great.
The other option I've been considering is the bar, though the idea of something going under my skin (while I'm still awake! I've never had any form of anestetic, but I'm assuming there's a local?). But the fact that it lasts for a few years is tempting me. I'll obviously have a chat with my doctor about it (have to book my first smear, but thats another matter), but I was hoping to hear some personal experiences that might calm my nerves (or otherwise!).
I'm 20 and in a 18 month relationship btw, if it has an relevance. I'm not looking for any medical advice, just experiences that people have had.
