« on: February 18, 2014, 08:59:31 AM »

If you have got an interview for a Business Consultant role then you will usually be experienced in business and being able to provide consultancy advice to customers and clients. You will need excellent communication skills and a confident approach to meeting clients and discussing various ways of improving businesses.

Before going to any interview it is important to do ample research into the company that you are hoping to work for and what services they provide. This will give you a good idea about what your possible role could entail.

Go through the job description carefully and check against your skill set and see what you are most comfortable in doing and what you would want to learn more about. Where do you think you will be in five years, how do you think your career will develop. Your interviewer will be interested to see how long you are going to be in this role and where you think your career will take you. As a business consultant you may specialise in an area but you will have a very general knowledge base.

Business Consultant Interview Questions

You could be asked questions such as:
  • What have been the 3 most important business developments this year?
  • How do you build relationships with clients?
  • What do you think clients look for out of a business consultant?
  • What industry sectors are your favourite?
  • What good business practices and procedures do you follow?
To your interviewer you will need to demonstrate your thorough understanding of business but how you deal with clients and be able to talk to them at all levels and provide advice and support.

To do this role you will need to have a very confident nature and be able to communicate effectively direct to customers or through presentations etc.

Good luck.
