Hi,

Good luck with your Debenhams interview! If your interview is for a sale assistant position then here are some of the example questions and answers:

You will probably receive questions about the company and here are some of the examples:

- Why Debenhams?

- What do you know about Debenhams/

- Why do you want to work for Debenhams?

- How would you approach a customer?

And there are some typical interview questions too for you to take a look:

What do you know about this company? Interview Question
Why do you want to work here? Interview Question
What challenges are you looking for in a position? Interview Question
What can you contribute to this company? Interview Question
Are you willing to travel? Interview Question
What are your salary expectations? Interview Question
Describe a difficult work situation project and how you overcame it
Give some examples of teamwork – Interview Question
What motivates you? Interview Question and Answer
What is your greatest weakness? Interview Question
Why do you want this job? Interview Question
What is your greatest strength? Interview Question

When is your interview and what position you are applying to?

We have already given answers for the questions however it's best to make your own ones before your interview.

Here are some more interview questions:
Describe a typical work week? Interview Question
Do you take work home with you? Interview Question – Answer
How many hours do you normally work? Interview Question
How would you describe the pace at which you work? Interview Question
How do you handle stress and pressure? Interview Question
What do you find are the most difficult decisions to make? Interview
What has been the greatest disappointment in your life? Interview Question

Good luck and keep us posted :)

 Hi There,
Firstly, well done on securing an interview. Your CV and covering letter must have really impressed the hiring team! The first thing to remember with an interview is that it’s just that- and interview. It’s not an interrogation and I personally find it easiest to get through an interview by pretending to myself that I already have the job, and that helps you to relax and answer questions more calmly.
With a high street fashion/department store they are going to be looking for someone who is capable of serving the public in a friendly and helpful manner, whilst looking smart and presentable. A combination of a smart skirt or trousers, with a smart shirt or fashion top would look smart. Knowledge of fashion and clothing would be an advantage so being able to coordinate your outfit would show willing.
Usually in these types of interviews you will be expected to answer a range of questions about working in customer facing environments and assisting customers, as well as answering questions about any previous similar roles you have undertaken, so think in advance of examples you can give of good service given or how you have relatable experience.
Just remember to keep calm in the interview and listen to what you are being asked. Be honest, and if you are struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for a few minutes to think. Research the company so that you know all about them, and be sure to have some questions of your own lined up to ask your interviewer, and remember, if you don’t get the job don’t see it as rejection- you wouldn’t want a job that wasn’t suited to you, so it’s important to be honest.

Good luck!

Debenhams offer a massive range of roles, so do a little bit of research about what you will be expected to do in your duties so you can tailor your response to the questions to suit the position.
Dress professionally, and behave impeccably. Be prepared for questions about who you are, what you like, how you work in a team, and whether you have initiative to act on a scenario. Sometimes, interview with companies like this entails a small amount of time serving customers or handing out samples or leaflets to customers, so don't be shy and carry this out to the best of your ability: it is a test of your capability to act on something unexpected!

just has assesment day.
You have a group interview with team building exercises ie, selling a product & giving a definition of customer service.
Then you have 1 2 1 interview where they fill out a booklet as they ask you questions.
whole thing last app 1hr, very easy & nice einterview,
