Legal Secretary Cover Letter Example

If you want to apply for a secretary job then you will probably need to write a nice covering letter for yourself.

You should edit the letter before sending it to your potential employer. Don't forget to add the address, telephone and all other contact details.

You can either include this to your CV or attach it to your application pack.

Here is your free Legal Secretary cover letter example:

Application for Legal Secretary

In response to your recent advertisement, please regard this letter as formal application for the position of legal secretary.

With over four years secretarial experience in various established law firms which has provided me with extensive knowledge of current legal practice, as detailed in my enclosed CV, I consider I am well equiped to work in this position.

I have had the opportunity to develop strong written and verbal communication skills in liaison with local authorities, solicitors, the courts and the police.

My most valuable asset is my excellent time management ability and organisation skills whilst fully appreciating the need for accuracy and cofidentially working in the legal profession.  This coupled with my efficient administrative and secretarial skills makes me a unique candidate for this role.

A couple of things will be very important to include in your cover letter for a position as a legal secretary.

Firstly, make sure your English is good. Proofread it 2-3 times before finally sending it, and even get a friend who's good at English to proofread it for you. If you're not confident with your English, definitely get somebody who is to sort it out for you.

Secondly, try to major on your experience. Law firms are looking for people who know what they're doing in this kind of position, so if you have a lot of experience in this field, then focus on that. They want to know how you've benefited a firm in the past with your skills and expertise as a legal secretary.
