I should like to apply for the role of Accounts Payable Clerk as advertised recently.
In my current role I am responsible for accounting tasks to ensure the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
I have to review all invoices, check requests, sort out and match invoices and set up payments systems, prepare and process accounts payable and wire transfers and bank payments, as well as ensure I have done all the reconciliation correctly.
I am also required to prepare an analysis of the accounts, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any discrepancies. I oversee all supplier transactions for the company, produce all end of month reports and reconciliation ie end of month closing of the accounts.
I have worked in the Accounts Payable department for 2 years and have a good grasp of general accounting procedures as well as relevant computer applications. I am proficient in data entry and management.
I am good at organising, and able to work with confidential matters; I know how to apply good judgement and use my problem solving skills where necessary.
I now seek a part-time position owing to family commitments and enclose my CV for your perusal.
