Amazon is to Create 3,000 Temporary Christmas Jobs in 2012
« on: September 07, 2012, 08:32:16 AM »

Amazon, the online shopping giant, is to create thousands of full time jobs in 2012. The company will employ temporary staff for its distribution centres across the UK including the new ones.

The company is one of the leading internet shopping sites, offering products from their own stock as well as opportunities for separate companies to advertise on their website, allowing an enormous variety and choice for consumers.

Amazon will also create 3,000 temporary Christmas jobs during their busiest time of year. Recruitment for these temporary vacancies will start very soon so that training can be completed before November.

The company will employ staff for Management, Computing and Human Resources.

Christopher North, Managing Director of Amazon.co.uk Ltd, said:

We have created thousands of jobs in the UK over the last few years and are delighted to announce that we plan to create thousands more in the next 24 months. Our recruitment team has been exceptionally busy recently hiring hundreds of employees at the Hemel Hempstead fulfilment centre and they will certainly be busy over the next couple of years as we continue to expand to provide customers with the best possible experience. We look forward to welcoming thousands of new recruits to the Amazon team.

Here are the list of Amazon distribution centres in the UK:
  • Rugeley
  • Hemel Hempstead
  • Marston Gate, Milton Keynes
  • Doncaster
  • Peterborough
  • Dunfermline
  • Gourock
  • Swansea
