Asda Jobs In Greenock - New Store Opening
« on: August 16, 2012, 09:10:01 PM »

New £20 million development from Asda of Greenock store could create 300 jobs.

Asda has announced that they plan to develop a new store in Greenock, Inverclyde. This move could see 300 full and part-time jobs created. It is also believed that roughly 200 construction jobs will be created for the development of the store. Asda is currently in the process of acquiring the land, and if successful will apply for planning permission later in the year.

This 35,000 sq ft development will “regenerate” the area according to Asda and could bring in additional companies to the area.

This plan is one of many sites that Asda is currently planning to develop on.

Oh how great, more jobs in a much needed area!  Excellent news for the people of Greenock, especially as supermarkets like ASDA tend to prefer the workers to be local, so that will give a much needed boost to the local economy too
