Professional E-commerce Solution

We will soon need a professional e-commerce solution to start our online shop.

We are searching for a company that will offer a ecommerce solution for our business. We need a new website with a complete back end solution. I believe the term used in the market is a end-to-end solution. Our budget is between 20K to 30K.

I wanted some advice from the experts here on how to go about selecting a solution provider and also what to consider in terms of choosing a platform. From my limited experience I have so far found that solution providers are using their own customized platforms. Is this a good thing and also what about the future when we may need to design a new website from a different provider? thank you
